Little ol' update.

Hi folks. You may have noticed I haven't posted in quite some time. Reason being, I was laid off from from work 2 weeks ago! It was quite a shock, let me tell you! I thought out of everyone I worked with surely my job was secure, I was handling the most accounts! Apparently my co-workers were even more shocked then I was and flat out asked why me?
I asked myself that a thousand times too, especially in the first few days after the lay off. I wasn't a model employee in the sence that I slacked a little and did some personal work from time to time.... but I got my work done and I got it done right, and actually I picked up the peices for a few other people as well... But really there's no sence in beating myself up or over analyzing cause I wasn't fired, I was laid off, and I later found out a few other hard working people were laid off as well.
Now that I've had some time I realize what seemed like a bad thing is actually awesome.
Everything is going right for me all of a sudden.
First I was let go out of a job I didn't really love anyway. Then I started dating a guy who is a friend of a friend and wouldn't ya know, we are really hitting it off! Next I realized since I am unemployeed I can join my friends on vacation in Belize! So I scheduled that trip and am very excited. I didn't slack on the job front and actually got a phone call from the owner of a company who saw my resume. She said she was "very interested" in me and that the head graphic designer saw my portfolio samples and was "very impressed by my layouts". So interview is scheduled. I've had extra time to get my apartment in order and go to the gym often so I feel great. This has been a much needed change!
I hope to start posting again soon but in all honesty it probably won't be until June after my Belize vacation. Can you say cave tubing, zip lining, scuba diving and ancient ruins tours?? He he he so excited.

The word "curvy" or "curves".

Photobucket

This is what gets under my skin. Everywhere I read about how we should accept our curves or I read about how men like curvy women, so on and so forth. My gripe is that this word implies a description of something different from what is normal.
It's like the word organic. Organic food should not be called organic, cause really it is just regular food. Its the other food that should be called pesticide rich, or chemically covered tomatoes for example.
So to me saying a women is curvy is like saying grass is green or the sky is blue. That's how it should be and it shouldn't imply that oh she's curvy so shes a little fatter then other women but that's OK cause guys actually like breasts and butts... please. It's the other women that should be called either obese or rail thin or whatever. Curvy shouldn't mean rounded, it should mean normal, and it really shouldn't be used at all. It's such a disgusting connotation. I hate it.

I love this stuff...

My favorite graffiti!

Photobucket

It Reads, "You Gotta Buy the Ticket and Take the Ride."
Everytime I see this, usually (well, always) while intoxicated, I'm inspired to live my life to the fullest. He he he.
